Help for disabled & low-income seniors

July 1, 2010 Leave a comment

BowMont All Season Services for Seniors (BASS) Society is a community-based non-profit organization that started in June 2001 to address the needs of low-income seniors and adults with disabilities in the communities of Bowness and Montgomery. These needs may include yard maintenance, snow removal and small home repairs.

Low-income seniors and adults with disabilities may be unable physically to mow lawns, shovel snow or do small home repairs. BASS provides affordable rates for these services, helping low-income seniors and adults with disabilities to continue living in their homes, in the familiarity of their community.

With advisory support from the City of Calgary and funding from United Way and other generous donations, BASS is able to provide affordable services that give low-income seniors and adults with disabilities a greater chance of continuing to be active members of their community.
