We can still use more volunteers to make this first annual event successful!  Please contact Dana at 403 288 9218 if you are interested in helping out at the event.

GARDEN PRODUCE SWAP
One exciting event at the fair this year will be of particular interest to Bowness gardeners. We will be organizing a garden produce swap.  Bring extra produce from your garden to swap for something you didn’t grow.

  • Any vegetable or fruit is welcome
  • There will also be a separate jam swap

BLUE RIBBON CONTESTS
There will be an exciting Blue Ribbon contest, so enter your’s and compare to see who’s best!

  • Jam
  • Pie
  • Homemade wine

There will also be prizes for the biggest zucchini and pumpkin.  Be sure to register your prized vegetables!

INTERESTING EXPERT SPEAKERS
Don’t miss our lineup of interesting speakers who will deliver expert presentations on the following:

  • Pickling
  • Jamming
  • Canning

FOR THE KIDS!
Finally, what can the kids expect?  We will be holding Blue Ribbon races: balloon and egg races.  Different age groups will be competing.  Don’t miss craft making and a special kid’s workshop on how to make a mini-greenhouse!  Participants will leave with their own mini-greenhouse and seeds to take home.

Please join us to celebrate what will hopefully be a bountiful harvest!!
